My Collection: Bombad Jedi

Jar Jar Binks: Yay everyone's favorite figure... ;-) this animated incarnation of the bumbling Gungan isn't half bad. His arms are well articulated but he has no joints in his knees. Like most Clone Wars tridactyls, his ankles are ball jointed. His head sculpting is decent but his ears are a bit too perky, rather than hanging straight down, they jut our backwards. Additionally one of his hands can't clutch anything. Not that I want another Jar Jar, but this figure could use an updated sculpt with super articulated legs and a cloth skirt.

Padme Amidala: Even though it only has limited articulation, stylistically, the white adventure Padmé is well crafted, with great paint detailing and sculpting. She also comes with the cape and hood from the movie that fit well. The blaster at her side looks a bit bulky, but her hand does grip it securely. The style of this figure reminds me a bit of the that of the Tartakovsky series.

C-3PO: Threepio is also a decent looking figure. He has articulation in all the necessary places and can even grip select objects with his digits. The best feature of this figure is that he comes with the glowing eyes that R2s and Jawas tend to have. This really brings life to his face when you shine a light behind it. To me, the color scheme seems a tad to dark. But the sculpting is adequate.

Super Battle Droid: The droid's sculpt is decent. But this is more of an "action" figure than a "display" figure. There is no articulation in the legs and limited movement in the arms as well. But the arms do have holes where projectile launchers can be attached, making up for the simplicity a bit. Even though the articulation is limited, this is a great troop builder.

Battle Droids: These are some of the staples of the Clone Wars line. The sculpt matches the design in the show pretty well, but there are a few technical problems with the figure. The thin antenna is hard to straighten and the backpack falls off too easily. Like the super battle droid, the articulation is limited. But unlike the its more advanced counterpart, the battle droid is slight and flimsy and is a pain to stand up. The legs tend to be bent, causing the feet not to stand flat on the ground. This figure really needs a stand to be posed in most ways.

My Collection: Droids Duology

IG-86 Assassin Droids: These are Gha Nachkt's IG-86 assassin droids. They are definitely some of the best figures in the Clone Wars line. There is articulation in all the joints, making them superposable. There is a unique hinge on the fingers that allows the hands to grip objects of any size, including the twin blasters that they come with. There is also a rack that attaches to the back of the droids that can be used to store the basters. The paint detail is pretty good, and the wires popping out of the body give them a realistic look.

Gha Nachkt: This is an interesting figure... too bad he doesn't come with a pull string fart sound mechanism ;) His articulation is similar to the fellow tridactyl Yoda, with no knee joints, but ball jointed ankles. His asymmetrical facial features are sculpted pretty well. Complete with gangly arms and a jawa juice belly, Gha Nachkt is an intriguing form for Hasbro to make. But it didn't come out half bad.

General Grievous: This is the first incarnation of the fearsome droid general in the Clone Wars line. This figure has poor articulation and is a little top heavy despite the clawed feet. Another issue is that he doesn't hold his lightsabers very well. Positives of this figure include a decent sculpt and interchangeable arms, but overall it could have been better executed.

Ahsoka and Anakin: These are the same as the original single carded versions in the first few waves. The only difference is that they come with cloth ponchos.

R2 and Goldie: These awesome figures come with all the parts to reenact their epic dual. They both have basically the same sculpt and features. The main difference is that they have different paint schemes and R2 comes with jets on his legs. Common features include tools that come out of their front, a rope that goes out their back, and a rotoscope.

My Collection: Rookies

Captain Rex: This is the third version of the standard Captain Rex figure. The only main difference is a new, more accurate helmet sculpt, which was long overdue. The paint detailing is pretty good on this figure, and his head is a bit more accurate. He comes with twin blaster pistols that fit will into holsters in his command skirt. The articulation is almost perfect with everything multi-jointed except the thighs.

Commander Cody: This is a good looking figure. The paint detailing, sculpting, and articulation come together to make a fine incarnation of the quintessential Clone Commander. The only detractors are the antennas coming out of his removable helmet and shoulder pauldron, they are a bit bent. But other than that, Cody is a fantastic figure.

Clone Trooper Echo: It was suggested by the fan community when Rookies aired, that the only reason why Rex gave Echo an eelblood handprint was so that Hasbro could go and make another clone variant. Regardless of the truth behind this, Hasbro did follow suit and make a great version of the clone hero. He has standard clone articulation and featured good paint detailing. Another unique factor is the movable macrobinocular visor that fits over his removable helmet.

Clone Trooper Fives: Fives is the first of many standard white clones whose helmets can be removed to reveal a unique character. He has all the positive attributes to what I consider one of the best clone bodies to date. The paint detailing on his unique head is pretty good, including an iconic Aurebesh tatoo on his forhead.

Commando Droid Captain: Now this is a cool figure! The captain has articulation throughout his well sculpted body. He also has a few paint marks that distinguish him from infantry level commandos. This figure comes with an electro-sword that includes a rap-around plastic force-field. He is a bit smallish and flimsy, but the well articulated legs allow him to be easily posed.

Commando Droids: These are the same sculpt as the captain but lack the extra paint detailing and electro-sword. An interesting feature of these droids is that a clone trooper helmet can easily be fitted over their heads to mimic part of the disguise they used in the episode.
