My Collection: Destroy Malevolence

General Grievous: This is the first incarnation of the fearsome droid general in the Clone Wars line. This figure has poor articulation and is a little top heavy despite the clawed feet. Another issue is that he doesn't hold his lightsabers very well. Positives of this figure include a decent sculpt and interchangeable arms, but overall it could have been better executed.

Firefighter Droid: This is certainly an intriguing figure. These battle droids only showed up for a few seconds on screen and are not warriors. But they did turn out looking pretty cool. Using the basic battle droid body, the firefighters inherit all of its flaws. Through in the giant backpack, and it is a nightmare to pose this figure. But the hose does add to the overall look.

Anakin Skywalker: This was the first Clone Wars figure that I ever bought. Anakin came in the first wave that I picked up at a midnight madness sale a few weeks before the movie debuted. He holds his lightsaber pretty good with one hand, but not as well with both. The sculpt of the head is pretty accurate. Unfortunately there is no knee or ankle articulation, but the arms are adequately jointed. When I first got it, this figure seemed slight to me, but now I'm used to the thinner Clone Wars style.

Padme Amidala: This is definitely one of the better Padme figures that have been made. The adventure gear version has decent articulation and sculpting. She also comes with a holster that attaches to her belt. It looks bulky but does hold her gun well.

C-3PO: Threepio is also a decent looking figure. He has articulation in all the necessary places and can even grip select objects with his digits. The best feature of this figure is that he comes with the glowing eyes that R2s and Jawas tend to have. This really brings life to his face when you shine a light behind it. To me, the color scheme seems a tad to dark. But the sculpting is adequate.

R2-D2: Anakin's blue-domed astromech is one of the most original figures in the Clone Wars line. R2 comes with multiple action/customization features including a wind-able clawed tether that comes out of a compartment in his back, a prod and claw that come out of his front, a scope that pops out of his head, and jet flares that attach to his legs. He also has tiny wheels in his feet that allow for easy movement. These features coupled with an accurate paint design make R2 one of the best figures in the first wave.

My Collection: Rising Malevolence

Clone Trooper Boost: Boost sports the stander clone trooper body and has decent paint detailing. His red double mohawk reminds me of Gree's. He looks great with the other members of the Wolfpack.

Clone Trooper Sinker: Sinker is identical to Boost in all places but the hair where he has some gray locks. Another fine addition to the Wolfpack, these two came in a battle pack with the other figures from this episode.

Plo Koon: This figure is Plo Kool! ...well actually it is very basic. There is terrible articulation in the legs. From the waste up the articulation and detailing of Plo is pretty good, but his plastic skirt really restricts his movement. The only way to give him alternate poses is to move his arms around more than Lady Gaga in the Judas video ;-)

Rocket Battle Droids: These guys look cool, but are a pain to stand up. They use the typical flimsy battle droid body with a new head sculpt and a rocket pack on their backs.

My Collection: Ambush: Villains

Asajj Ventress: The Sith assassin is one of the best figures in the Clone Wars line. She has great articulation in her legs and a removable fabric skirt. Asajj is beautifully sculpted and holds twin lightsabers that connect together. The only issue with the figure is that there is no articulation in the elbows, but other than that, it's perfect.

Destroyer Droid: This is one of the most action oriented figures in the line. The imposing droid can crouch into a fetal position and then be released into attack mode by the press of a button. Once ready for battle, there is are projectile missiles that can be launched from each of it's arms. The articulation in the legs and the arms are adequate, and the sculpting is simple yet accurate.

Super Battle Droid: The droid's sculpt is decent. But this is more of an "action" figure than a "display" figure. There is no articulation in the legs and limited movement in the arms as well. But the arms do have holes where projectile launchers can be attached, making up for the simplicity a bit. Even though the articulation is limited, this is a great troop builder.

Battle Droids: These are some of the staples of the Clone Wars line. The sculpt matches the design in the show pretty well, but there are a few technical problems with the figure. The thin antenna is hard to straighten and the backpack falls off too easily. Like the super battle droid, the articulation is limited. But unlike the its more advanced counterpart, the battle droid is slight and flimsy and is a pain to stand up. The legs tend to be bent, causing the feet not to stand flat on the ground. This figure really needs a stand to be posed in most ways.

Also check out the heroes from the episode, Yoda, Thire, Jek, and Rys!

My Collection: Ambush: Heroes

Yoda: This is the best Clone Wars Yoda ever made. He holds his lightsaber well and comes with a natural fitting cloth cloak with a hood that pulls over his accurately sculpted head. Yoda has highly articulated arms and ball joints in his ankles that allow a variety of poses.

Lieutenant Thire: The Lieutenant is definitely a cool looking figure. He has near maximum articulation throughout his body and sports good paint detailing. He has blaster holsters hanging from his belt, which is an added bonus, and comes with a removable helmet that has a movable visor.

Clone Trooper Jek: Jek is another good looking figure, like his lieutenant, the clone has holsters attached to his belt and a removable helmet. He also carries a unique, non-firing missile launcher.

Clone Trooper Rys: Rys is a pretty basic clone, coming with standard articulation. But his removable helmet gives him a bit of individuality.
