General Grievous: This is the first incarnation of the fearsome droid general in the Clone Wars line. This figure has poor articulation and is a little top heavy despite the clawed feet. Another issue is that he doesn't hold his lightsabers very well. Positives of this figure include a decent sculpt and interchangeable arms, but overall it could have been better executed.

Firefighter Droid: This is certainly an intriguing figure. These battle droids only showed up for a few seconds on screen and are not warriors. But they did turn out looking pretty cool. Using the basic battle droid body, the firefighters inherit all of its flaws. Through in the giant backpack, and it is a nightmare to pose this figure. But the hose does add to the overall look.

Anakin Skywalker: This was the first Clone Wars figure that I ever bought. Anakin came in the first wave that I picked up at a midnight madness sale a few weeks before the movie debuted. He holds his lightsaber pretty good with one hand, but not as well with both. The sculpt of the head is pretty accurate. Unfortunately there is no knee or ankle articulation, but the arms are adequately jointed. When I first got it, this figure seemed slight to me, but now I'm used to the thinner Clone Wars style.

Padme Amidala: This is definitely one of the better Padme figures that have been made. The adventure gear version has decent articulation and sculpting. She also comes with a holster that attaches to her belt. It looks bulky but does hold her gun well.

C-3PO: Threepio is also a decent looking figure. He has articulation in all the necessary places and can even grip select objects with his digits. The best feature of this figure is that he comes with the glowing eyes that R2s and Jawas tend to have. This really brings life to his face when you shine a light behind it. To me, the color scheme seems a tad to dark. But the sculpting is adequate.

R2-D2: Anakin's blue-domed astromech is one of the most original figures in the Clone Wars line. R2 comes with multiple action/customization features including a wind-able clawed tether that comes out of a compartment in his back, a prod and claw that come out of his front, a scope that pops out of his head, and jet flares that attach to his legs. He also has tiny wheels in his feet that allow for easy movement. These features coupled with an accurate paint design make R2 one of the best figures in the first wave.
